Momodou Jaiteh (FC Lucerne U-21)

However, his shot was so well placed and good that the goalkeeper had no chance to save.
Marc Giger (FC Paradiso)
The 19-year-old comes from the youth department of Grasshopper Club Zürich, where he left for FC Linth 04 in the summer of 2022. The attacking player has been joining FC Paradiso since this season and has been doing so very successfully. The Kilchberg native has already scored an impressive six goals in eight Promotion League games. Marc Giger obviously has snapshot qualities, but the youngster is also extremely technically skilled. His playing style is truly spectacular at times, as he recently scored a world-class bicycle kick goal (you can watch it in the video below). It will be exciting to follow the Swiss player’s further career path and if he continues to shoot like this, his Super League dream could one day become a reality.
Fabio Lymann (FC St.Gallen U-21)
Another very exciting youngster who is currently causing mischief with his nose in front of goal in opposition defense lines in the Promotion League is Fabio Lymann. The 20-year-old has worn the shirt of FC St.Gallen since the summer of 2022, where he has only played for the U-21 team so far. This season, the right midfielder is emerging as a goalscorer, having already scored six goals in eight games. The Swiss definitely has promising capabilities that should also interest FCSG coach Peter Zeidler. Fabio Lymann is absolutely capable of reaching the top Swiss league one day, even if it is of course still a bumpy road he has to overcome to get there.
Labinot Bajrami (FC Zurich U-21)
The next big hope for the future is Labinot Bajrami, after all, the striker can call himself a player of the Swiss U-19 national team. The FCZ talent has already scored seven goals from eight Promotion League matches this season and that is of course a very strong figure. The Winterthur resident already has a market value of 125,000 euros, which gives some idea of his great potential. If the 18-year-old remains injury-free and follows his path as consistently as before, it will likely only be a matter of time before he makes his debut in the professional team of FC Zurich. Usman Simbakoli (Etoile Carouge FC)
One of the most popular strikers in this Promotion League season is without a doubt Usman Simbakoli. The 21-year-old has already scored eight goals from seven games, putting him in second place in the top scorers list. The 21-year-old hails from the Central African Republic and moved from Lille’s second team to Étoile Carouge in the summer of 2022. The striker already found his way into the third highest Swiss league last season with his twelve goals and certainly has the potential to play one or even two leagues higher. It will be interesting to see if Usman Simbakoli will ever end up at a Super League club.
