Murat Yakin in September 2021 during the World Cup qualifier against Italy in Basel. It was his second match as Swiss national coach.

After the Swiss national team played their last matches in Sion or Lucerne, they will return to Basel for the Kosovo match in November.

The kick-off in the St. Jakob Park in Basel takes place at 8.45 pm. This is Switzerland’s penultimate match in Euro 2024 qualifying, before the final away match against Romania in Bucharest three days later.

It is the first guest appearance of the national team in Basel in more than two years and the 0-0 draw in the World Cup qualifier against Italy. The first home games of the current European Championship qualification took place in Geneva (3-0 against Israel), Lucerne (2-2 against Romania) and Sion (3-0 against Andorra). The following Sunday, Switzerland welcomes Belarus in St. Gallen. (SDA/dti)
