Erling Haaland (23) is the great superstar of Manchester City and the best footballer in Norway. In his home country, the newspaper ‘Verdens Gang’ caused a real shock among its readers on Monday when it suddenly reported the death of the super striker.

Sports director apologizes

An apology followed immediately. Frode Buanes, the newspaper’s sports director, wrote in a text message to “Dagbladet”: “I just have to apologize to Erling Braut Haaland.
