The Schaffhausen Cadets celebrate their fifth victory in the 6th round of the NLA. Just like in the narrow success against Kriens-Luzern on Sunday, the cadets had to fight for the two points until the end in the home match against Scout Winterthur. The leader turned around a halftime deficit of 14:16.
Hot on Schaffhausen’s heels is GC Amicitia Zurich, which narrowly prevailed against St. Otmar St. Gallen in 32:31 after constant back-and-forth to take its fourth win in a row. The team from Zurich is still two points behind the Cadets in the rankings.
Thanks to a strong final sprint, Kriens-Luzern found its way back to victory. The Central Swiss trailed against BSV Bern for a long time before they were able to turn the match around and win 29:24. This means that Kriens-Luzern moves up to 3rd place.
In the two basement matches, only one team, Servette (29:28 at Wacker Thun), managed to break away. Suhr Aarau lost the victory against bottom team Kreuzlingen in the final minutes and had to settle for a 28:28. (SDA)
