Swiss tennis will no longer be represented on the management of the world federation. Swiss tennis president René Stammbach (second from left) is not standing for re-election.

Aargau resident René Stammbach retired after twelve years on the ITF board; he has been vice president for the past eight years. Stammbach announced his retirement in Australia in January. Stammbach’s wish that Switzerland continue to have a seat on the governing body was not fulfilled at the congress in Cancun, Mexico. Ruth Wipfli Steinegger narrowly missed the election.
