The women of FC Zurich know their last opponent on the way to the Champions League. Jacqueline Dünker’s team will face Ajax Amsterdam in the second qualifying round of the championship stage.
After the women from Zurich defeated the Maltese outsiders from Birkirkara 3-1 in the first round a week ago, the final hurdle to the group stage of the only European Cup competition in women’s football is much higher. The Dutch from Ajax Amsterdam have won the national title three times since the team was founded in 2012. Ajax reached the knockout phase in the Champions League three times and reached the round of 16 in 2019.
The return journey will take place on 10/11. and 18th/19th held in October. The group stage starts on November 14. The final match will take place between May 24 and 26 in Bilbao. (SDA)
