It was a transfer of a more special kind: for once it was not a promising talent poached by a Bundesliga club, but an official. FCZ sports director Marinko Jurendic (45) moved to FC Augsburg this summer with all his baggage.
There he fulfilled the role of team leader under the leadership of team leader Stefan Reuter (56). Since August 1, he has been taking care of the coaching team, scouting and the young talent in Augsburg.
Barely present, already promoted
Jurendic has only just started working in the Fugger city and he can already look forward to a promotion. As FC Augsburg announces, Reuter is leaving his position after more than ten years. He is retiring and only wants to support the club as an advisor in the future.
“After training with team leader Marinko Jurendic, this is exactly the right time for me to transfer responsibilities,” Reuter explains. His departure has resulted in a reorganization, which now gives team leader Jurendic more responsibility and a larger area of authority. However, the association did not reveal in its announcement exactly which new positions he will fulfill.
