Olympia Haarlem extends softball title after defeating Tex Town Tigers
The Olympia Haarlem softball players have renewed their championship title. The team won the fifth and deciding game of the Holland Series 3-2 against the Tex Town Tigers, winners in 2008 and 2009.

It is the fifth national title overall for the fusion club Olympia. The first, as DSC’74, was conquered in 2003, after which Olympia also became champion in 2017, 2018 and 2021.
The Tigers, coming back from a 2-0 deficit in the Holland Series, still led in Haarlem with a brace from Annemiek Jansen, but Olympia, thanks in part to two singles from Franka van Dijk, made it 3-1.
Dinet Oosting beat Britt Vonk over home plate in the last inning.
On Saturday, the Tex Town Tigers leveled the scores in the Holland Series in a game interrupted by a torrential downpour.
