Jil Teichmann (WTA 124) qualifies for the eighth finals at the Ladies Open in Lausanne VD. The 26-year-old Swiss convincingly defeated Russian Erika Andrejewa (19, WTA 156) in the first round of the sand tournament 6: 2, 6: 2.
Teichmann’s next opponent could be Viktorija Golubic (30, WTA 117), a compatriot. Golubic will compete on Tuesday with the number seven on the placement list, the French Alizé Cornet (33, WTA 70).
Also on Tuesday, Switzerland’s Susan Bandecchi (25, WTA 454), Céline Naef (18, WTA 159), Simona Waltert (22, WTA 132) and lucky loser Jenny Dürst (24, WTA 442) will play their respective 1st round matches.
