Jorge Prado despairs his rivals

Running like champions, prudently, without getting into unnecessary duels and knowing how to avoid risks, Jorge Prado left the Czech city of Locket, the leading world cup and the morale of their rivals on the field. After convincingly winning qualifying on Saturday, Prado started from pole position and used it for the holeshot of the first round, but the Frenchman Romain Febvre immediately overtook him and went on to win the round himself. Prado kept his pace and just gave way to the pressure of Jeremy Seewer, with whom he did not want to clash.

With the third starting position, Jorge entered the second set ready to save the furniture and from the start gave way to the fiery Seewer and Febvre who wanted to reduce their lead. Vlaanderen also overtook Jorge, which would eventually mean his victory, because not long after Seewer fell, and a few laps later, in the same corner, so did Febvre. With Vlaanderen winning the race and Prada finishing second, Febvre was able to take fourth place and win the Grand Prix, but was unable to reduce the Spaniard’s overall lead.

World champion Tim Gajser performed again in this trial with an acceptable seventh place. Another Galician, Rubén Fernández, finished sixth in both races to consolidate his fourth place overall. The classification in which Prado leads with 614 points, compared to Febvre’s 510 and Seewer’s 465. Jorge was happy after the race: “It was a difficult race because the track was slippery in some parts and then because we had to focus on the laps . I’m happy to continue to increase my lead in the championship, to continue on the podium and continue to finish races on the bike. One more step, now for Lommel, to keep adding…”

The MX2 race was dominated by Geerts ahead of Langenfelder and De Wolf. Italy’s Adamo took the second set, which helps him maintain his lead. In their place were the Spaniards, Oriol Oliver 13th and David Braceras 15th. In the Czech Republic, the final test of the Europeans of 65 and 85 cc was held. Among the youngest, the Spaniards shone, tenth in their categories, Oleguer Riba and Santiago Cordero.

After the Czech tournament, the World Championship ends next weekend in the Belgian city of Lommel, Prado’s second home, where we will see great fun in the arena as a new and important charge in this race for the Spanish pilot’s first world title in the queen category.
