The ski dream couple enjoy the time together in the summer. After heavy training, Mikaela Shiffrin (28) and her boyfriend Aleksander Aamodt Kilde (30) come to rest in America.
A few days ago there was a trip on the water. The two sailed across a lake in a motorboat and enjoyed time together. Then it was on to Los Angeles. Shiffrin and Kilde clearly enjoyed a stroll down Hollywood Boulevard before two special evenings were scheduled.
Twice on the red carpet
The two were guests at two galas. Tuesday evening The Player’s Night Out started on the online platform “The Players’ Tribune”. Shiffrin wore a black two-piece suit with rhinestones, while Kilde wore a suit that caught the eye. On the one hand with shorts and on the other hand with a sleeveless jacket. His outfit was completed with purple sunglasses.
At this performance, the two already cut a good figure. A day later they doubled. This time it wasn’t black, it was white. In the run-up to the Espy Awards, an award from media group ESPN that is awarded in various categories, Shiffrin asked her fans for help. She gave two possible white outfits to choose from and wanted to know which one she would wear tonight. A glittery floor-length dress with no back or a jumpsuit with gold appliqués.
The vote ended unequivocally. 89 percent wanted to see Shiffrin in a dress — and the skier did them a favour. Kilde accompanied her in a matching color suit. The evening should be very special for Shiffrin.
“Why is a record important?”
She was named Sportswoman of the Year. In her speech, Shiffrin thanked everyone who contributed to her numerous successes. When she brought up the subject of records, her emotions almost overwhelmed her. “This season has been incredible and there was a lot of talk about records and I thought…” Shiffrin had to pause and take a deep breath.
“Why is a record important?” She continued her speech. “I feel like it’s not important to break records or set new ones. It’s important to set the tone and inspire the next generation.”
Shiffrin has long been an inspiration. The same goes for Kilde. On Instagram, he expresses his pride: “Congratulations to the Queen. A well-deserved honor for a wonderful person.” (bir)
