Andrea Abal says goodbye to the press officer in Obradoiro

Footballers Obradoiro, Carlos Taboada and Santi Paz will make their debut with Spain at the European Under-20 Basketball Championship today which is celebrated in Greece. The Spaniards will debut at three o’clock in the afternoon against Montenegro. At this tournament, Spain was drawn into Group B with Serbia, Montenegro and Estonia.

In a double friendly against Greece, Santi Paz played 19 minutes and scored 5 points, in Spain’s victory (66-68); and four minutes and two points, in the defeat of Spain (74-63). Carlos Taboada played three and two minutes respectively.

Coach Joaquín Prado He points out that “the European Championship will be very even, many national teams will fight for a medal: France, Greece, Serbia, Germany, Turkey, Lithuania… And many times everything will be decided by small details”. He points out that “the preparations were without serious physical problems, from less to more. It was 25 days and you always think that you lack time to finish some things. We are not 100%, but we want to achieve it at the European level. Defensively we are functioning well, but we have to find our offensive point. Spain has been defending the gold since last summer, but the coach has more goals: “We care about winning, but in training categories it’s more important how to do it.”

GOODBYE ANDREA ABAL

These are Andrea Abal’s last days as Obradoiro’s media officer, who after seven years in office says goodbye to a “modest and small club, but with a lot to tell”. He arrived at the club “at the age of 24 and with everything to learn. I still have a lot left, but I’m learning a little more about the day and the media reality”. With Andre Abala, everything was much easier in everyday work with Obradoiro.
