Cheer for Dani Rodriguez: the Swiss also wins his 40th fight.

He can’t be beaten! Dani Rodriguez (25) defeated Englishman Brad Stanton (30) on points at Bangkok’s fabled Rajadamnern Stadium on Saturday night to maintain his perfect record of 40 wins in 40 fights.

Rodriguez remains at the top of the RWS (Rajadamnern World Series) in the super welterweight division (up to 70 kg) and is awarded after the fight for the best performance of the entire evening. For this award, there is a bonus of 100,000 baht (equivalent to approximately 2,500 Swiss francs) for the resident of Zurich.

“It’s an honor to be in the ring with you”

His opponent Stanton showed himself to be a fair loser after the fight and praised him with great words: “You are a true gentleman and you are already making history. It was an honor to stand in the ring with you and be brothers”, he wrote on Instagram.

Dani Rodriguez moved to Thailand because he no longer had opponents in Europe. With a look he told about his new life in Thailand, his goals and Switzerland. With his 40th victory, he now further cements his place in the world elite of Thai boxing. (byl)
