Evasive maneuvers cost Top 10: Aegerter only twelfth at Donington

Dominique Aegerter is only 12th in the Superbike World Championship in the first of two races at Donington (Gb). The Yamaha rider from Bern had to swerve in the last lap due to a motor of a competitor with a technical defect. Aegerter lost three positions due to the detour over the gravel bottom.

Victory in England goes to Alvaro Bautista (Ducati). The Spaniard triumphs for the 15th time in the 16th race of the season. In the general classification he is in the lead with a big lead, while Aegerter is in eighth place with 92 points. The second race at Donington Park and six more race weekends are yet to come.
