GC has a new chairman. Matt Jackson (51) will take over operational management at the beginning of July and is at the same time the direct point of contact for sports director Bernt Haas in all sporting matters. The record champions will provide information about this on Friday morning.
Jackson is a former English footballer with Everton, Norwich and Wigan and was most recently Head of Strategic Player Marketing at Wolverhampton Wanderers. Hence the connection with the Chinese GC owners.
