The mother-in-law of pilot Jimmie Johnson killed her husband and grandson, and then committed suicide

Pilot jimmy johnson will not participate in this edition of the Chicago Nascar Cup after a a terrible tragedy shook his family. The event directly affects his wife Chandra’s family. His parents, Jack and Terry Janway and their 11-year-old nephew, were found dead in the family home in what police investigating the case believe may have been the murder-suicide of the pilot’s mother-in-law.

The hypothesis under consideration is that Terry Janway killed her husband and grandson, and later committed suicide. Officers went to the family’s home in Muskogee, Okla., after the woman notified authorities of an argument involving a gun. As a result, Johnson announced his withdrawal from testing this weekend, and the team he co-owns issued the following statement: “The Legacy Motor Club has decided to withdraw the #84 Chevrolet Carvan from this year’s Nascar Cup Series weekend in Chicago. In addition, the family has “requested privacy at this time” in which she will not make any further statements.

NASCAR also issued a statement saying they are “saddened by the tragic death of members of the Chandra Johnson family. The entire Nascar family extends its deepest condolences. and condolences at this difficult time to Chandra, Jimmie and all of the Johnson and Janway families.”
