Victory goes to Italy: Swiss archers win bronze at European Games

The Swiss archers win the bronze medal at the European Games.

Keziah Chabin (22) from Vaud, Thomas Rufer (42) from Bern and Florian Faber (25) from Basel won the match for third place against the Netherlands 6-2. Before that, the Swiss won the quarter-finals against France 5-4, but lost 1-5 to Spain in the semi-finals. Italy secured the gold medal.

The bronze medal for archers is the fifth medal awarded by the Swiss delegation to the European Games. Nina Christen (shooting) and 800-meter runner Romon Wipfli (track and field) have won two gold medals so far. (SDA)
