Thomas and Birgit Dressen are in seventh heaven. The couple announces the birth of their first child.

Baby happiness in Ski Germany. Downhill star Thomas Dressen (29) is happy with the birth of his first child.

“Welcome, Elena,” he writes with his wife Birgit on social media with a photo of the little ones. “We are incredibly happy and look forward to the future with our little miracle!”

Thomas and Birgit have been married since 2021. In January, the couple announced that they were expecting a child.

Balm for the soul of Dressen

Private happiness is balm for Dressen’s soul. Because the downhill star had to endure a lot on the ski slopes. The German was injured several times: cruciate ligament tear, hip injury, muscle damage.

Career has stalled. Last winter there was only one top ten place in the World Cup: in Lake Louise he was 8th in the downhill. That does not meet the requirements of the five-time World Cup winner.

Skicircus congratulates on the birth

In 2018 in Kitzbühel he celebrated his first downhill triumph, snatching the win from Beat Feuz – and achieving hero status in the German ski scene.

Probably also through the difficult years, Dressen feels a lot of support from the ski circus. Congratulations on the birth of the daughter. Kjetil Jansrud, Tamara Tippler, Adrien Théaux and Stefan Luitz, among others, respond to the good news. (SME)
