Marlen Reusser (31) can now call himself overall winner of the Tour de Suisse. She successfully defended her leader’s jersey in the fourth and final stage with start and finish in Ebnat-Kappel SG (100.8 km, 1915 elevation meters).

During the race, the situation for the resident of Bern is uncomfortable. Katarzyna Niewiadoma, sixth after the third stage, is part of the leading group. The Pole has now replaced Reusser as leader in the virtual final classification.

Time trial specialist Reusser reduced Niewiadomas’ lead from over two minutes to 37 seconds at the finish. That’s enough to win in the general classification. The New Zealander Fisher-Black takes the stage victory in the sprint for Niewiadoma. Reusser is third.

The Swiss Petra Stiasny (7th) and Elise Chabbey (9th) also finished the day in Ebnat-Kappel in the top ten. (yup)
