Tudor CEO Raphael Meyer (white shirt) mourns the passing of Gino Mäder with Swiss cycling professionals on Friday.

Despite the fatal accident of Gino Mäder († 26), the Tour de Suisse comes to an end in the weekend. That decision was taken by the tour management on Friday evening.

The Swiss team Tudor of boss Fabian Cancellara (42) is no longer there. Tudor pulls out of the Tour ahead of the penultimate stage. “We have spoken to the drivers and staff and have jointly decided not to proceed,” the team said in a statement. “Under these circumstances, it is only human to show due respect for the feelings of our drivers and Gino.”

Mäder’s team Bahrain Victorious canceled the tour early on Friday.
