Markus Mahler (51) is the new chairman of FC Aarau. The marketing specialist was elected with one vote against on Monday evening at the club’s general meeting in Brügglifeld.
The AGM is an emotional occasion. Mahler succeeds Philipp Bonorand, who took over the agency in 2020 and is stepping down after twelve years of volunteer work. Van Bonorand is said goodbye to sports director Sandro Burki with warm words, which causes tears among the shareholders, “CH Media” reports.
Mahler has been associated with FC Aarau for a long time, most recently as a member of the sponsor association “Club 100”.
FC Aarau AG also reported a loss of CHF 471,890 for the financial year 2022. The main reason for this is the high personnel costs for the first team. (SDA/SME)
