The Vegas Golden Knights are on the verge of winning their first North American NHL ice hockey league championship. The team from Las Vegas won the fourth final game for the Stanley Cup against the Florida Panthers 3-2 on Sunday evening. Now the Golden Knights are leading 3-1 in wins and need just one performance for the title. The fifth game will take place in Las Vegas on Wednesday evening.

In the closing seconds, the Panthers had multiple chances to tie the game and send it into overtime. Shortly after the final siren, a fight ensued, resulting in six penalty kicks.
Midway through the second period, the Golden Knights took a 3-0 lead. After two goals from Chandler Stephenson, William Karlsson raised for the visitors. A goal from Brandon Montour late in the middle allowed Aleksander Barkov to put the Panthers ahead 2-3 early in the third inning – but the hosts couldn’t turn the game around. (cat/SDA)
