Nikola Jokic (l.) and Jamal Murray (r.) shine with a triple-double each in the Denver Nuggets’ 109:94 victory over the Miami Heat in game three of the NBA Finals.

The Denver Nuggets defeated the Miami Heat 109-94 in the 3rd round of the NBA Finals to lead the best-of-7 series with 2-1 wins.

Serbian Nikola Jokic (28) is the man of the match with a triple-double of 32 points, 21 rebounds and 10 assists. Since his teammate Jamal Murray (26) also manages to score a triple-double (34/10/10), the away win is never in danger.

Denver now even has a lead of 21 points. The team from the state of Colorado owes its success mainly to strong defensive work.

The fourth game will take place again on Saturday-evening in Miami. The Denver Nuggets are on top and need just two more wins to win their first championship in history. The Miami Heat, on the other hand, which only just made the playoffs and then surprised against all favorites, is in danger of running out of breath. (SDA/nsa)
