Lausanne HC has again attracted a Swedish defender with Lawrence Pilut. The 27-year-old attacker has signed a two-year contract with the canton of Vaud. Pilut also played several seasons in North America since the summer of 2018, playing a total of 63 NHL games for the Buffalo Sabres. Most recently, he played for the Rochester Americans of the AHL.

Strengthening after a weak season

Lausanne finished in a disappointing 11th place last season, missing out on the playoffs. After the championship ended, the LHC hired a Swedish defender from league competitor Zug in Christian Djoos.

With the arrival of Pilut, the Lausanners now have eight foreign players under contract – the two defenders are joined up front by their compatriot Robin Kovacs, Austrian Michael Raffl, Canadian Daniel Audette, Czech Jiri Sekac and Finns Mikka Salomäki and Antti. suomela (SDA)
