Special Counsel Peter Marti has resigned. As Blick learned, the federal prosecutor’s office supervisor, the AB-BA, approved the request in mid-May.
As a result of the affair about manipulated encryption equipment of the Crypto company, or a report about it that had reached the media, Marti had filed a lawsuit for breach of professional secrecy.

When he illegally received many e-mails from Peter Lauener (52) from the responsible authorities, he started a new procedure against the former spokesperson for Federal Councilor Alain Berset (51).
Lauener is said to have passed on confidential information to Ringier CEO Marc Walder (57) during the Corona period. Other proceedings that Marti had in connection with Crypto have been stopped.
No successor yet
Marti’s successor in the proceedings against Peter Lauener has apparently not yet been appointed. It is possible that an ordinary federal prosecutor’s office will continue the proceedings against the speaker.
As is now known, Marti Lauener was held in pre-trial detention for several days. But then he had to let the ex-speaker go.
