Avenir Suisse announced on Wednesday that this “fire week” was intended to sensitize national politicians to over-regulation and reportedly measured state growth.
The think tank also suggested that board positions should only be filled with people who have worked outside the public sector for a minimum number of years. The foundation also came up with upper limits for employment conditions in the public sector – which had to be determined on the basis of wage benchmarking.
In the statement, Avenir Suisse further criticized the fact that the “footprint” of the state had grown significantly in recent decades – and was increasingly seen by exponents of different political camps as “a tool to fulfill certain interests”. (SDA)
