A tweet can have consequences for Green National Councilor Meret Schneider (30). Corona skeptic Nicolas A. Rimoldi (28) advocates concealed carrying of weapons in self-defense. State Councilor Schneider writes: “Oh, what, in self-defense I stab Rimoldi with a pocketknife.”
That is going too far for Rimoldi. He will report Meret Schneider. “This is terrible. An alleged death threat has no place in a democracy.” He suspects a reaction to his possible candidacy for the National Council. “That of course makes Schneider nervous.”
Schneider is known for his humorous messages on Twitter. However, Rimoldi does not believe in a failed prank. “This is an incitement to violence, why else would you write something like that? The Black Bloc terrorists now know what to do.”

Meret Schneider has since deleted the tweet. “It’s completely absurd!” says Meret Schneider. “I made an obvious joke about an obviously absurd comment.” Rimoldi had called for the carrying of weapons for self-defense. “I wrote that a pocket knife is enough – joking, of course.”
“I never called for murder either. It was clearly written that it was only for self-defense.” Schneider thinks Rimoldi’s reaction is exaggerated. “He seeks attention.”
Moderately demands Schneider’s resignation from the National Council. That is not an option for Schneider. (brother)
