Samuel Iff, Solothurn’s new canton doctor, is in the crosshairs of the authorities.

Now Samuel Iff (44) has already lost his job as a cantonal doctor in Solothurn – even before he started. The reason for this is the damage to trust that has occurred due to the concealment of criminal cases that are relevant to working as a cantonal doctor, the State Chancellery reported on Tuesday. IFF does not receive any financial compensation.

The procedure, which is being conducted in the canton of Bern, concerns the prescription of substances that are prohibited under the Sports Promotion Act. Preparations that are therefore prohibited for athletes if they are used to increase physical performance. It is not known exactly what the means are. The presumption of innocence applies to Iff.

“Dr. Pump” is a bodybuilder himself

Samuel If is a bodybuilder himself. In the scene, he made his name as “Dr. Pump” or “BBDoc” – the bodybuilder doctor. On social media, he loved to show off his pumps, with his muscular physique and impressive biceps.

At the beginning of February, the government council elected Samuel If as the new canton doctor. He would take office on May 1. Only a few days later, the canton took personnel law measures against IFF.

He allegedly concealed “relevant facts” during the application process. According to various media reports, Iff would have prescribed drugs that may be in violation of the anti-doping law. There is a criminal case in the canton of Bern. (SDA/oco)
