Chamber wishes cutters “a lot of power”

Philipp Kutter suffered a serious accident on the ski slope in early February.

Philipp Kutter (47) broke two cervical vertebrae in a skiing accident in early February. In addition, his spinal cord was damaged but not severed, as stated in a letter. Both legs and one arm are paralyzed. It was still too early for forecasts, it was said at the time.

National Council chairman and fellow party member Martin Candinas (42) wished Kutter and his family “a lot of strength and confidence” on behalf of the National Council. “We hope to see you all back on the council soon.”

Kutter himself reported on social media a few days after his accident. “We’re going to do it,” he said confidently. He was overwhelmed by the many sympathetic messages, the wounded National Council wrote. He needs rest now.

Kutter has been politicizing at the national level in the National Council since June 2018. At the end of January, the Zurich Mitte Party nominated him as a candidate for the Council of States for the federal elections in the autumn. From 2007 to 2018, the communications advisor was a member of the Zurich cantonal council. Since 2006 he has been a member of the municipal council in his residential community Wädenswil and since 2010 mayor. (SDA)
