The Mitte Party is committed to the Climate Protection Act. With a large majority, the delegates voted yes on Saturday in Stans NW.
The Climate Protection Act is an indirect counter-proposal to the Glacier Initiative, which has been partially withdrawn. Because the SVP held the referendum against the law, the population will comment on it in the summer.
“With the Climate Protection Act, we can effectively combat climate change, produce more renewable energy and strengthen our security of supply,” said Christine Bulliard-Marbach (63, FR) commenting on the proposal.
On June 18 for the people
In addition to the yes for the climate protection law, the center also supports the OECD minimum tax proposal. The aim of the OECD minimum tax is to ensure that internationally active companies in Switzerland with an annual turnover of more than 750 million Swiss francs must pay a minimum of 15 percent profit tax in the future
The OECD Minimum Tax Act was passed by 241 yes votes and one no vote, the Climate Protection Act by 245 yes votes to 3 no votes with one abstention. The vote on the two templates will take place on June 18. (lazy/SDA)
