There are dog walking tips for Keller-Sutter

Federal Councilor Karin Keller-Sutter (right) and her successor at the Ministry of Justice, Federal Councilor Elisabeth Baume-Schneider, hand over the keys to the FDJP.

In the elections for the Federal Council, Elisabeth Baume-Schneider (58) had to wait a little longer than Albert Rösti (55) before her choice was clear. In return, she was given priority at the formal transfer of office.

On Tuesday morning, FDP federal councilor Karin Keller-Sutter (58) symbolically handed Baume-Schneider the key to the Federal Ministry of Justice and Police (FDJP), which will lead the Jurassic from January 1, 2023.

The two women also exchanged gifts – books. Dog lover Keller-Sutter received a book of 35 walks “on two and four legs”. Baume-Schneider received a state political work on the way: “Zero Hour – The Reinvention of Switzerland 1848”.

Keller-Sutter is now stepping down from the finance department. In the afternoon she receives the keys from outgoing SVP federal councilor Ueli Maurer (72).

Rosti has to be patient a little longer

The new SVP judge Rösti still has to be patient. The formal transfer of office from SP federal councilor Simonetta Sommaruga (62) to Berner will only take place on Friday.

Then the SVP man receives the keys to the Department of Environment, Transport, Energy and Environment. (Russian)
