Bundesbern is in a festive mood today!

After parliament elected Bernese SVP politician Albert Rösti (55) and Jura SP councilor Elisabeth Baume-Schneider (58) to government last week, the two are celebrating today in their home cantons. In the afternoon, the new Federal President Alain Berset (50) will also be received in his hometown of Freiburg.

Rösti celebrates in Kandersteg and Uetendorf

Parliament closes its sessions at 12 noon. Then it goes from Bern with extra trains to the respective parties.
