Ironically, Federal President Ignazio Cassis meets with the French President in the city of love to discuss bilateral relations, but also Switzerland’s relationship with the EU.
Cassis travels to Paris for an official visit and will attend the fifth Paris Peace Forum. At Macron’s invitation, Cassis is also attending a dinner organized for the Heads of State and Government represented in the Peace Forum.
The visit is an opportunity for Cassis and his counterpart to deepen the talks that began at the first meeting of the European Political Community on October 6 in Prague, the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) wrote on Tuesday. The emphasis is on Switzerland’s relations with France. The last official meeting of a Federal President with his French counterpart took place in 2018.
Cassis’s visit to Paris will take place on November 11 and 12, so next Friday and Saturday. (SDA/hr)
