The FDP of the city of Zurich wants the city council to regulate the bicycle movements of the “critical masses” through Zurich. The Liberals have therefore announced that they will file a supervisory complaint against the city government with the governor.
With the supervisory complaint, the FDP City of Zurich hopes that the governor will convince the city government to intervene in the traffic blockade by the so-called critical masses. The complaint follows years of debate, writes the chairman of the FDP city of Zurich, Përparim Avdili. With this he confirms a message from “Tele Züri”.
FDP had gathered
In May of this year, the Zurich City Council decided that the Critical Mass could continue to roll through the city without a permit. The city council thus rejected an initiative of the liberals. In it, the party demanded to obtain a permit for such a move and to submit a route plan.
The Critical Mass, a worldwide movement, takes place every last Friday of the month. Cyclists meet and then set off – without a plan, the front runners spontaneously decide which way to go. There is no official organization behind the parades. This was why the left-wing parties had rejected the advance of the FDP. (SDA)
