Krystyna Marty Lang, Swiss ambassador to Moscow, was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry.

According to the Russian state news agency Ria Novosti, it concerns – literally – “the decision of the Swiss parliament to initiate legal proceedings for a mechanism that would allow the confiscation of Russian state property in the Swiss Confederation”.

Any violation of Russian state property, the warning reads, constitutes “state theft” and “retaliation from the Russian side would be inevitable.”
