It took fifty years before Beat Jans (59) returned to the state government. At the beginning of this year, Jans replaced Minister of Health Alain Berset (51). To help him get started, Jans gave Berset a roof cap with the EU stars. “It’s not a Borsalino, but it could come in handy at work.” The Borsolino was Berset’s trademark during the corona pandemic.
And to make the choice a success, Berset received a bag of “Basler Läckerli”. Jans brought this to the farmer during a hearing when he was elected to the Federal Council. The results are known: Jans won the elections with probably many farmer votes (bro).
