A climate activist (48) from Renovate Switzerland carried out a paint attack on the Federal Palace after lunch on Thursday. He spray-painted two doors of the north portal with orange paint. He then sat down on the ground in front of the entrance. However, the police made short work and removed the man just minutes after his attack.
The action was the culmination of a series of warnings through which the organization drew attention to the government’s slow response to the climate crisis, Renovate Switzerland said in a statement.
“Because I marked the Federal Palace with orange paint, the Federal Council and Parliament can no longer hide. “They are responsible for the climate catastrophe,” says the activist. The government would rather build new highways than take measures to reduce CO₂ emissions. (oco)
