Alain Berset will leave the Swiss government at the end of this year.

In the Saturday broadcast on Radio SRF, Alain Berset said that there was no important topic in the state government this year that had not been leaked.

Unfortunately, this issue was never explored, he said in an interview with the SRF radio host. However, the leaks would not have a major impact on the discussions in the Federal Council, but would still cause outrage.

Berset only recently admitted that he had been in contact with the Ringier Group CEO during the pandemic, albeit without exchanging confidential information. He also criticized the corporate audit committees (GPK) of the two councils that investigated the so-called Corona leaks.

Role changed during Corona

He wanted to be remembered as a person who always gave everything, he said in an interview with SRF. But he is also aware that, since the corona pandemic, every time something does not work in this country, he is responsible.

Private matters only became public when he was in the spotlight as Health Minister during the pandemic and faced widespread criticism.

Berset has been part of the Federal Council for twelve years. Before that, he was a member of the Council of States for eight years. (SDA)
