There will be a 24-hour warning strike by the German Locomotive Drivers’ Union from Thursday to Friday evening. (archive image)

Affected trains would only run within Switzerland and be canceled to or from the border, the head of the SBB media department, Reto Schärli, said at the request of Keystone-SDA. The precise effects are still unclear. It is therefore not yet possible to guarantee that all connections within Switzerland will be replaced.

The SBB advises all passengers to postpone their trip to Germany to another time. Anyone who wants to postpone their trip due to the strike can use the ticket at a later time. It is also possible to bring forward journeys and travel earlier on Thursdays, so that you arrive at your destination early in the evening.

There will be a 24-hour strike by the German Locomotive Drivers’ Union from Thursday to Friday evening. There will therefore be delays and train cancellations on Deutsche Bahn’s long-distance, regional and S-Bahn services. The first restrictions can be expected before the strike officially starts at 10 p.m.
