The external attack was discovered on Wednesday evening. All ICT systems were closed and disconnected from the internet, the municipality of Zollikofen announced on Thursday.
The ICT systems are now being further investigated together with external cybersecurity specialists, so that they can be restarted as quickly as possible. According to the communiqué, the municipality has external backup systems that, according to current knowledge, are not affected by the attack.
To contact the administration you must go to a counter, although only limited services can be provided. For emergencies, a hotline is available during normal opening hours on 079 102 63 67.
