There had been speculation for a long time whether the GLP could win a seat in the National Council. She couldn’t. All seven previous candidates are defending their seats. Baselbieter’s magic formula still applies: 2 SVP, 2 SP, 1 FDP, 1 Center, 1 Green.
Maya Graf (61) of the Greens was also able to clearly defend the only seat of the Council of States in Basel. FDP challenger Sven Inäbnit (58) had no chance. (dba)
