After the accident during a training flight in mid-June in the canton of Zug, the Patrouille Suisse would like to take to the air for the first time this weekend for an air show. But nothing comes of that.
The air force has to do without the demonstration at Speck-Fehraltorf ZH airfield. The reason is not technical but meteorological. Due to the bad weather, training was not possible today.
“Safety is the highest priority for the Air Force and the entire military,” said the Patrouille Suisse. The next performance is scheduled for July 14 at the Basel Tattoo. But even then it is not certain whether the Patrouille Suisse will be able to spot him.
The first training was successful
After the responsible experts had released the F-5 Tiger aircraft, a first high-altitude flight took place last week from the Emmen LU military airfield. The two aircraft that were damaged in the accident in Baar remained on the ground for the time being.
The first test flight went like clockwork. Standard altitude training for flight demonstrations would be planned as a second step. This is a condition for the Patrouille Suisse to fly for the public again. (lha)
