In mid-June, two Patrouille Suisse planes collided.

The Patrouille Suisse escaped the incident over Baar ZG in mid-June with a black eye. The aerobatic team is now gradually resuming flight operations.

After the responsible experts had released the F-5 Tiger aircraft, a first high-altitude flight took place from Emmen LU military airfield on Friday. The two aircraft that were damaged in the accident in Baar remained on the ground for the time being. The first flight was completed to the satisfaction of all involved.

The Patrouille Suisse will train from next Friday at Speck-Fehraltorf airfield. Whether the flight demonstration can take place at the weekend on the flight days of the Zurich Oberland aviation group is still open, the Swiss Air Force announced. During their training, the aerobatics team made isolated adjustments to their flying program.

Investigations are underway

Halfway through the month, two machines collided over Baar. You were on a training flight for the federal yodel festival in Zug. A jet’s nose broke off after being touched.

The debris hit the facade of a building belonging to the Glencore resource group. The impact shattered windows and one person in the building was slightly injured by splinters. The pilots of both machines were not injured.

A total of seven Tiger F-5 aircraft were involved in the training flight. All were able to land at the military airfield in Emmen after the incident. The originally planned air show over the Zugersee was cancelled. The military judicial investigation into the incident is still ongoing. (dba)
