It’s over at the end of August: Jonas Projer leaves the “NZZ am Sonntag”.

After just over two years it’s over: Jonas Projer (41) leaves “NZZ am Sonntag” at the end of August. Because of “strategic differences”, as they say. Projer only became editor-in-chief in May 2021. He leaves the newspaper with regret, but also with gratitude, he said in a statement.

Projer became known throughout Switzerland as the Brussels correspondent for SRF, later as moderator of the “Arena” moderator. Before moving to NZZ am Sonntag, Projer set up the Blick Group’s internet television, Blick TV.

successor not yet decided

Projer’s successor at “NZZ am Sonntag” has not yet been clarified, the board of directors has started the search. Four journalists are taking over on an interim basis: Anja Burri, Head of the Interior Department, Daniel Foppa, Head of the Background/Opinion Department, Christoph Zürcher, Head of the Journal and Thomas Stamm, Head of Digital.
