The Council of States also says yes: the way is now clear for CS-PUK

The emergency takeover of Credit Suisse by UBS is being investigated by a parliamentary committee of inquiry (PUK). That is what the Council of States wants.

In the run-up to the parliamentary debate, the audit committees of both councils (GPK-N/S) and the offices of the National Council and the Council of States had argued for a PUK about the CS crisis. The Federal Council also assured Parliament of its full support last week.

A thorough review of what happened was necessary and sensible, was the tenor in parliament. The National Council unanimously approved the PUK, the Council of States with 37 votes in favor and 5 against.

In connection with the CS crisis, the management of the Federal Council, the federal administration and other bodies charged with federal tasks have come under scrutiny in recent years. According to the federal decision, the goal is a comprehensive investigation. (SDA)
