175 years of the Federal Constitution: Swissmint’s two commemorative coins.

Finance Minister Karin Keller-Sutter presented the coins in Bern on Monday. The commemorative coins will be available in their Federal Ministry of Finance – in the Bernerhof – as Swissmint has announced. During the jubilee celebrations, the population has the opportunity to visit various federal buildings to the left and right of the Federal Palace.

The coins depict the preamble to the Federal Constitution symbolically implemented on the reverse. On the value side, two angels bear the Swiss coat of arms. In an allusion to the reference to God in the Constitution, the Olten artist Peter Salzmann omitted the wings of an angel. The gold coin has a face value of 50 francs and an edition of 5,000 pieces.
