our greatest treasure

Jesus He said: whoever finds great treasure should sell everything he has and buy the field where it is. Because our great and greatest treasure is God. And he is Father, Son and Spirit holy. Trinity. He who has God has everything, he lacks nothing. He alone is enough, as Teresa de Jesús says.

We have a Father, the creator of all that exists. His power and wisdom are endless, eternal. He realizes his paternity with the Word, the second person of the Holy Trinity. He created everything that exists through the Word. The entire entire universe, which follows expanding, with millions and millions of galaxies, derives from his creative power. And the whole universe, with a human comparison, would fit in the palm of your hand, as if it had a speck of dust on it. And even less than that.

And He also created man in the Word, in His own image and likeness. Which implies a significant difference compared to the rest of creation. We partake of his divine attributes, but in a way limited, finite, human. Wisdom, power, love, life and all that in one person, each different from the other, original, unique, unrepeatable. And this essential difference in relation to the rest of creation gives us a unique value, because the Father is aware of everyone and that permanently.

But other than that he wanted to God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, to have complete closeness with us, to become one with everyone and with creation, and for this God the Father commanded his Son to become a man. to incarnate. Without ceasing to be God, accept everything human except sin and remain so forever. always united the human being and God. In Christ Jesus embodiment is complete, absolute, radical. One person and two natures. And forever. And in Christ Jesus God it assumes every human person, of all centuries, and everything created as something of its own.

But even more, what surprises the most and surpasses all imaginable expectations, is death redeemer of Christ, who paid a ransom for us, adopted us as his sons, treating us as his own. He loves us as much as his son, iu case of humanity, forgive us a thousand times more than our sins, because his mercy is infinite. He still calls us children even in spite of everything. Because that is the Father’s love, infinite love, absolute and completely merciful. This is our Father, who gave up his own son for our salvation and who prepared an eternal home in heaven for us in his heart.
