Thinking about ants

As a nature lover, I like to spend my free days with my family visiting natural and open spaces, and a few days ago I visited the Metropolitan Park, a natural lung located in the heart of the capital.

This place has magnificent hanging gardens where you can see the sweet petrichor. The sun crosses the lush forest giving way to the breeze that separates its paths, some short and others long, where the benefits of the Creator can be appreciated.

In one of my walks towards the little one lookout area I observed a colony of ants that were transporting according to a the anthill gnawed away at the bright green leaveswhich tripled its size in weight.

dozens of them they walked in a straight line towards a small hill of earth huddled together like a small volcano. Some were entering and others were leaving the crowd.

Despite their fast pace, neither stood in the way of the other. I admired how small and fragile they looked. I was surprised by his solidarity system a march operated with masterly synchrony. It was like a perfectly integrated working network where Their camaraderie stood out. Each had their own mission in transferring the leaves, I saw them turn and support each other as if they were transferring information for the best management of leaf scraps from the giant tree to their little nest.

I immortalized that moment with a photo to enlarge the image later appreciate every detail. So a reflection of the momentas the photo remains on my bedside table to this day.

A few days later, ua One hot morning last March, I saw a group of associates of the Sanitary Administrationperforming their functions, with energy and participation so similar to those ants from my visit to the park.

It was a group of four or five, the ones I saw, but surely there will be many more four or five in different parts of our country doing the same work. They were a small sample of what kind of army collaborators for the benefit of our planet.

Seeing them, he came back to me mind the business of the little ants. And see fit to combine both experiences to lead to what you read today.

I don’t know if anyone has already talked about them, but I’m taking the opportunity to do it with them genuine admiration to celebrate on this date World Earth Day.

These men and women contribute to the cleanliness of our neighborhoods, streets and avenues, like many others, they work hard to make our city shine, consequently they support from their small spaces, in preservation of mother earth.

Everyone should respect his work. At least I wait for them two or three times a week so that the space I live in looks tidy, and if they fail to make one of the visits, their absence is felt. With every visit you hear march of trucks before entering the area and we all distinguish is coming garbage truck Take out the garbage! It is heard among the neighbors.

They greet you with Good morning boss! What to pick up today? They group the garbage bags into small piles at the edges of each of the houses, then the truck triumphantly enters the neighborhood and two of them leave disposal of accumulated groups of waste into the jaws of the truck.

I learned so much from them and their solidarity work, however much Ants teach teamwork. Sometimes I see them dancing and singing regardless of whether it’s raining or shining, whether it’s a holiday or a weekday.

They wear their yellow and green uniforms, on many occasions with little safety instruments. Contribution to Panama a dose of hope and joy because of your insecurity. It costs nothing to look at them and take them as an example, give them a smile and a good morning. Support them in their work by not throwing waste on the streets. And needless to say, we imitate them in our office work, many times cold individualized and automated.

I have not seen an analogy so similar to the work of ants as well as the work of brigades for cleaning the streets and alleys of our country. In the end, they not only keep our streets clean, but also They take care of the planet we live on.

Panamanians call cleaning brigade “little ants”, for some random reason. After every popular festival, we look forward to your arrival to make our city shine. We require expertise in fast cleaning from them the spaces we left dirty. His feat is sometimes praised, others perhaps the most criticized.

Their effort requires talent, agility, coordination and knowledge of the environment. Just as ants have their leader – the queen – and their support group, the foragers – the workers – they have their own quality management dynamics. Neither of them could you work alone so you need the help of your team. But the presence of one more is important here: You. Your participation as a responsible citizen to leave better the planet to which it is received is vital.

as ants know perfectly the purpose of their workTheir communication system is colloquial but effective and they are aware of their contribution to the search for a better Panama.

Tactics of work on ants and cleaning brigades They could be useful in the work teams of any organization. Both contribute to the preservation of the ecosystem, they also invest in the country and we don’t remember in just one day the value of the country and the importance of its protection.

By the way, crew cleaning, I also took photo to consider the exploits of these anonymous soldiers, that sometimes we don’t stop to look.

When I compare both pictures I see in them such an admirable resemblance.
