Some texts by the author Roald Dahl and the novels of the special agent James Bond will be reworked to avoid offensive language

Last week, the publisher who publishes the works of v Roald Dahl announced his intention to rework some of the London author’s texts in order to adapt them to new times and avoid offensive language. This decision translates into removing words like “fat”, “ugly” or “crazy” from the author’s texts.

The company that owns the rights to the Special Agent novels was added this Monday James Bondand announced that the works will be republished without racial references that could be considered offensive, which is why they have already ordered a review of the texts by a committee of readers.

However, it is not the first time that this practice has caused intense controversy, since headlines like “Little Red Riding Hood», «Tom Sawyer“either”three little pigss” have already been reviewed.
