Violation of human rights and freedom of expression

IN in the 21st century, impresses that they set a judicial gag on the Panamanian newspaper in direct connection with concealment of data on the beneficiaries of economic aid, suggesting to the people the possible revival of some soft Panamanian dictatorship.

These actions enter into against human rights, which require states to adopt measures to prohibit direct or indirect restrictions on freedom of expression. The current discrimination of the Panamanian state in the allocation of public funds intended for advertising and/or spreading its propaganda; and the judicial processes he brings to various media companies form a monopoly over information, limiting pluralism and diversity as essential factors of freedom of expression.

Article 6 UNESCO’s General Declaration on Cultural Diversity, according to which states must ensure that all cultures can be expressed and published. Freedom of expression, media pluralism, equal access to artistic expressions, scientific and technological knowledge and the possibility, for all cultures, of being present in the means of expression and dissemination, guarantors of cultural diversity.

A democratic society without access to diverse sources of information is not a free society, nor does it allow Panamanians to have the tools to consolidate their rights. The media must develop freely, without and without illegitimate pressures from any sector the possibility of establishing direct or indirect mechanismssuch as account hijackings or eternal trials with the judicial power of the state.

Soft dictatorship in 2024. no need for the bloody violence of CODEPADI in the eighties, nor the battalions and even less the varilleros of the Civilian Crusade in protests to monopolize the power of the media. They now work with a “bureaucratic elite of circular clientelism” based in the Palacio de la 5 de Mayo and emulating Hugo’s Supreme Court Chávez Frías, use the Creole courts and the courts of justice exercise power control. The autocrats understood very well that their role was to defend their election candidates at all costs, no matter how dishonest and immoral their statements were, no matter how disastrous their influence on the Panamanian people.

One might think that the current counselors are children Aleksander Dugin and Norberto Ceresole; and they are led by an Andorran student of István Mészáros, replicating the gag of those countries where they hijack and polarize journalistic pluralism through a contemporary Bolshevik one-party state. The current Panamanian one-party state is Leninist, it is anti-meritocratic, a state run by those who demand silence in the distribution of economic aid for their children, tenders for the construction and equipping of hospitals for their campaign donors and the maintenance of ministers A state not because of its ability, but because of its loyalty.

In the Bolshevik imagination, the press could be free and public institutions honest only if they were always controlled through the party. The radical left is not on the streets obstructing Panamanian traffic, In the budget committee, he thinks about his eternal continuity.

Public criticism was considered a fundamental weapon for questioning the all-powerful and repressive power of the state. From then until today, institutional and legal art has been built on the basis of defense against the arbitrariness of the state and governments and limiting their possibility of violation of freedom of expression.

I hope our Panamanian rulers are reading the Bible in Proverbs 11:13. Where there is no wise direction, men will fall; But there is safety in the multitude of advisers.
